Inspired by experience 

Nick and Sean met at school when they were 12 Years old and would often meet up after school, on their Choppers to re-inact the roles of Ponch and Jon, the stars of their then favourite US TV cop show, CHiPS.

When it came to choosing  their brand, they wanted to choose something familiar going back to their roots. Jon somehow didn’t ring well, leaving the perfect fit for Poncherello, aka Ponch.

Both Nick and Sean grew up in Buckinghamshire, Nick loved his Football and played for his local club. Sean loved Powerboating and would spend the weekends with his Dad, travelling the UK to compete. They can still also be found cycling in the Chiltern hills, however their main love is skiing and they still holiday together every year, usually in Austria.  During lockdown however, they took up socially distanced Paddle boarding as a new hobby, and soon became completely hooked.  

Sean and Nicks’ other loves are their cockapoos,  Snoop and Hugo. They were both well walked during lockdown and even took up paddle boarding themselves (not by themselves)

So, with paddle boarding, walking their dogs and of course CHiPs, everything came together to create the Ponchrobe

Sean’s sister runs a boys football team and was the very first client, but the Ponchrobe is being used by Fisherman, Campers, Dog Walkers and of course Paddle boarders many of whom also enjoy Open Water Swimming in the ridiculously cold UK waters!

Our photo shoot

This took place beneath the Austrian mountains in the Vorarlberg valleys on the Lake of Constanze. Our photographer, Marcel, has a multitude of talents with some 25 years experience, photographing luxury ski hotels, fashion models and sports teams both in Austria and Internationally. He speaks English and German and his work can be viewed at www.studio22.at  

Judith is a keen volley ball player, along with being an avid skier. Alex is a semi professional football player but also loves water sports. They both wanted to keep their changing robes!
